God has given Larry Hunter the ability to teach the principles of His Word in a simple yet powerful way which enables listeners of all ages to easily learn and apply these principles in their daily lives. He has a down-to-earth and entertaining delivery which captures the attention of his audiences both locally and internationally.
Raised in Jacksonville, NC, Hunter obtained a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984. While attending the university, he accepted Christ into his life and has been following His guidance ever since.
Hunter has served in many capacities in churches throughout the years. He has a heart to serve and loves people. In 1989, he attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to receive formal instruction in the Word of God. During a missions trip to Guatemala in 1993 (while serving as assistant youth pastor of a church in Dallas), Hunter felt the call to serve in missions. After much preparation and fundraising, he moved his wife and two small children to Guatemala to serve with Living Water Teaching. Over the next four years, the family gained invaluable missions experience in Guatemala and Honduras. The Hunters returned back to live in the U.S. in 2000. Hunter remained faithful in church leadership while continuing to do missions work through short-term trips throughout Central America, South America, and Africa. In 2007, he reunited with Living Water Teaching to form Living Water Teaching – Brazil.
Missionary Hunter ministers effectively not only in English, but also in the Spanish and Portuguese languages. To date, he has ministered in 10 countries outside of the United States with his practical and empowering teaching of God's Word.
He and his wife, Deborah, will be married 25 years in August, 2009 and have been blessed with two children, Vincent and Valerie, who live in the United States.
